Keith Laing

Keith Laing is a reporter for USA Today, where he covers automotive industry trends and regulatory issues affecting consumers from his home base in Washington, D.C. Prior to coming to USA Today, Keith covered automotive regulation and lobbying issues for Bloomberg News. Keith has also covered automotive regulation and lobbying issues, along with the Michigan Congressional Delegation, as a Washington correspondent for The Detroit News. Keith also previously covered transportation policy in Congress for The Hill. Keith also worked for the News Service of Florida, where he tracked the Florida state legislature with a focus on transportation and energy issues. Keith worked previously in the Georgia Senate Press Office and served as a local government reporter for The Brunswick (Ga.) News. Additionally, he has contributed to Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine.​​

Keith is a proud alumnus of Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in print journalism with a minor in business administration in 2005. Keith also holds a Master of Arts degree in political science, with a specialization in American politics, from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga. Keith is a native of Stone Mountain, Ga.​Keith is a member of the National Press Club, National Association of Black Journalists, Washington Automotive Press Association, Howard University Alumni Association and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
