Daisy Garriga is a Hartford, Connecticut-based Youthcast Media Group social media creator who focuses on distracted driving and mental health.

Daisy is a rising freshman at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), where she plans to major in criminology and minor in psychology. In high school, she started as a sports videographer and photographer and majored in performing arts and journalism. She was involved in Fox 61 Student News, hosted for 89.9 WQTQ, created a documentary and helped teach journalism. Through all this, she maintained high honors and was a three-sport athlete.

On June 25, she introduced Rep. John Larson, D-Conn., who represents her hometown, at YMG’s Student Showcase on Capitol Hill. She is eager to continue her journalistic work in college and beyond.
