Volunteer

Alex is a Washington, D.C.-based policy professional with experience both on and off Capitol Hill. He served as a Legislative Assistant for a member of Congress and currently works as a Legislative Coordinator for Best, Best and Krieger, LLP. While on the Hill, Alex served as an assistant and advisor to Chairwoman of Appropriations Kay Granger, managing a diverse legislative portfolio that included issues such as Budget, Environment, Housing, Small Business, Social Security, among others.

In his current role, Alex focuses on policy and regulations related to water and environmental issues across all three branches of the federal government. A native of North Carolina, Alex earned a BA in Political Science and a BA in U.S. History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
