Angely Peña-Agramonte
Current Intern
Angely Peña-Agramonte is a junior at the University of Miami, majoring in journalism with a minor in international relations. She was a Journalism Silver Knight nominee and a Posse semi-finalist. She joined YMG as a student participant in the spring of 2021 housing workshop and then acted as an assistant mentor-editor in our mental health workshop in the fall of 2021 and the fall 2022 racial wealth gap workshop. Her work has appeared in the Miami New Times, USA Today, and MindSite News.
As a YMG super user since 2021, Angely has assisted in writing articles and editing. After graduating from UMiami, Angely hopes to pursue a master’s degree or graduate in communication and international law. She hopes to report on equity and the intersectionality of international policy and how it affects health as well as other international law topics. One of her other aspirations is to go to law school.
