​​Erica Hurtt is a communications executive with nearly three decades of experience in public policy, journalism, public relations, and marketing.

Throughout her career, Erica has reported for various media outlets across the US and abroad where she covered everything from statehouse politics to local courts, economic issues, and natural disasters.

For the past decade, Erica has worked in the public policy arena following legislative and regulatory developments in Washington and providing insights on how they could impact various stakeholders.

Erica earned a BA in Writing and Media at Loyola University (Baltimore) and  Masters of Science in Journalism at Northwestern University. She currently reports and reflects on life in Hawaii via her blog: www.gobigislandorgohome.com.
