Heaven Pete

Former Intern

Heaven Pete is currently a junior at Georgia State University. She is majoring in Psychology on pre-med track. 

During her junior year of high school, Heaven was introduced to Youthcast Media Group and journalism through the Mass Media Academy at Calvin Coolidge Senior High School in Washington, D.C. While interning during the summer of 2020, she was exposed to many mental health professionals and she researched and developed a story on the pandemic and how it affected many people's mental health. That sparked her interest in mental health, especially within the Black community. Heaven also represented YMG on a national webinar sponsored by Well Being Trust with YMG founder Jayne O’Donnell in 2020.
