Yesenia Barrios (Yessi) is a graduate of City University of New York’s Baruch College where she double majored in Journalism and Digital Communications.  While attending Baruch, Yessi was a contributing writer for The Ticker, the student-run newspaper and a contributor to Dollars & Sense, a monthly student-run magazine where she brainstormed ideas with other members and assisted with story production. 

 

Yessi was an intern for Youthcast Media Group in 2021 when she was the producer of "Therapy Thursday", an Instagram Live event where a variety of mental health-related topics were discussed.  

 

Yessi is currently an independent freelance reporter in the Bronx.
